Some of our favourite things about our job are all the wonderful details our couples plan: exciting locations, decor, fun activities, quirky ceremonies… everything really! It always inspires us to be more creative ourselves. For a while now we’ve been in contact with the completely awesome Ella Mai who plans bespoke weddings and elopements for adventurous spirits and we knew it was the perfect opportunity to bring together some amazingly talented folks for a styled shoot and have some fun!

This may have been a styled shoot but the love of our couple was no less real. The wonderful Amber and Barry were in fact getting hitched a few weeks later and so it was the ideal time to escape from final wedding preparations and enjoy some time together.

Amber and Barry stayed in a cosy little corner of Ballachulish village just outside Glencoe and set-off on an unusually sunny morning to Glen Etive – the perfect place for an elopement. It doesn’t matter how many times we are in the glen, the scenery is no less impressive.

The fantastic team were:

Ella Mai
Ella is our Nick Fury, bringing together the Avengers… *ahem* team together and ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Ella location scouts, co-ordinates with suppliers and not only deals with all the hassles of weddings and elopements – so you can focus on the important task of getting hitched – but is also brimming full of creative ideas to deliver the vision you have for your day… pretty awesome indeed!

Studio Flowers
Our braw duo Sharon & Shona created a wild and rustic bouquet with beautiful tones and textures which they perfectly matched with flowing ribbons.

Something I had never seen before was the pocket-arrangement (I’m sure it has a proper name, sorry ladies!!) they had created for Barry. For something a bit different than the usual button-hole!

Stacey Stewart MUA
Fresh glowing skin was the order of the day along with fishtail braids for Amber’s hair. Given the incredibly breezy day it was, Amber’s look held in place, the movement in Amber’s hair adding drama to the shots.

Vintage Suit Hire
For something a little different than the traditional suit.
Barry’s tweed jacket tied-in with the vibe and landscape of our shoot perfectly.
Vintage Suite Hire provided the pocket watch and tie to ensure Barry was looking extra sharp!

E Collection Stationer
Created the wonderful elopement announcement cards – the perfect way to share news with your family and friends and organise a celebratory shindig afterwards!

We really were chuffed to be part of such a talented team and we hope you enjoy some of our images below:
